Plastic Tubing
Plastic tubing of various lengths and bores constructed of materials suitable for general laboratory, biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, medical, vacuum, low-pressure, high-pressure, cleanroom or environmental applications. Products may be chemical- or corrosion-resistant. Formulated for resistance to flex fatigue and abrasion, plastic tubing is more flexible and less permeable than rubber tubing.
How Is Plastic Tubing Used?
Flexible plastic tubing may be used as transfer lines for contamination fluid control, hydraulics, protective jacketing, vacuum pump and diaphragm pump feeds and discharges, refrigeration, water and fluid lines, food and beverage, instrumentation, research laboratories, agriculture, material handling, air and gas lines, chemical lines and pharmaceuticals.
Types of Plastic Tubing:
• PVC: lightweight and flexible, will retain its bore on bending and can be sterilized up to 121°C
• Silicone: ideal where a hard-wearing material is needed, including transfer of liquids or higher temperature environments
• LDPE: good for general low pressure and temperature, instrumentation, corrosive atmosphere, and food processing
• PTFE: has excellent chemical-resistant and temperature-resistant properties
• PE: flexible, lightweight, durable, and corrosion resistant, used for a wide range of liquid, gas, and fluid transfer applications
• FEP: clear, small-diameter tubing, the economical choice for chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure
• PEEK: high-performance polymer with mechanical and chemical resistance, and highly resistant to thermal degradation

The FARPVC1712-100P is a 100 foot roll of 1/4" ID, 3/8" OD clear PVC braided reinforced hose from Flex-A-Prene. This flexible hose is made of PVC with a polyester braid reinforcement and has a pressure rating of 150 PSI. It has a temperature range of -20°F to 150°F. The inside diameter is 1/4" and outside diameter is 3/8". This general purpose hose is suitable for air, water and many chemicals. The hose is sold by Grainger in a 100 foot roll.

Grainger Hose Fitting Sleeve 1/2 In
The Aeroquip Compression Sleeve Brass is a brass compression sleeve fitting used for connecting tubing in fluid power systems. It has a 0.25 inch tube size and is made from brass for durability and corrosion resistance.
